Canada’s
West Coast Premier Paddlesports Event
May
15 & 16, 2010
We’re
celebrating our 12th Anniversary and we’d like to invite
you to celebrate with us! The 12th annual
Paddlefest will
be held at Transfer Beach Ladysmith on May 15 & 16, 2010
featuring a vendor/trade show, workshops, and demos. Paddlefest
is an opportunity to get together with colleagues and business
associates in the paddlesports industry and to display products
and/or services to a focused market of consumers.
Marketing
Paddlefest
will be extensively advertised throughout British Columbia
and the Pacific Northwest. Marketing will include:

Service Announcements
- Our
website www.paddlefest.bc.ca
- Posters
- ready for distribution in April
- Shaw
Cable banner ads - Vancouver Island
- Ads
in Wavelength, Black Press, Take 5, magazines, Times Colonist,
weekly publications on the mainland and Island

American paddling Clubs

in publications distributed on the mainland, North American
markets and extensively on Vancouver Island
- NEW
this year! Each vendor will receive a 3 x 2 ad in our 4-page
Paddlefest Insert with a distribution of 18,000 You have
the opportunity to increase your ad size for an additional
fee. Please contact Kathy Holmes our Marketing Director
at 250-245-2277 to make these arrangments. Please include
a print ready ad with registration.
- Additionally,
each registrant will receive a FREE URL link on the Paddlefest
webstie. Pleae let us know the website link you would like
to use when you register.
Corporate
Sponsorship
We
encourage your company to participate in Paddlefest
celebrations by becoming an event or activity sponsor.

with your ideas and a volunteer will contact you about the
possibilities!
Workshops
and Presentations
Sue
Glenn will be co-ordinating
the workshops, demonstrations and presentations again this
year. If you, your staff or professional colleagues would
like to be a volunteer guest presenter or instructor this,
please contact Sue and she will be happy to discuss this year’s
schedule and requirements. All presenters will be profiled
in Paddlefest’s
marketing material and website. Please be prepared to present
a bio and photo in advance in order that we can promote your
services, expertise and event. This is a great opportunity
to support Paddlefest
as well as to promote your product or service. workshops@paddlefest.bc.ca
Registration
Booth
space will be reserved on a first come first serve basis,
so book early to secure your prime location. Consideration
will be made to vendors who attended last year.
NOTE
OF IMPORTANCE: BOOKINGS and a non-refundable deposit
of $100 MUST be made by March 1, 2010 or your reserved booth
or table space will be RELEASED. Balance payments must then
be paid by April 15, 2010 to keep your reservation.

Your booked space will be secured once payment has been received.
Waterfront
Booths (Section B)
Please
be reminded that due to a limited number of waterfront booths
Section B will be leased to BOAT DEMO COMPANIES
ONLY. Retail vendors can access booth space in Sections
A and C of the park. This move will allow necessary
access for those vendors selling boats. To lease a booth in
Section B (water access) you must provide the following before
your site request can be booked:
Two
demo boats (paddles, paddle floats, PFD’s, throw ropes,
sprayskirts, pumps) to be used for workshops and demonstrations.
Please send specs (the make and model) of the 2 demo boats
you will be providing to Susan Glenn, Workshops Co-ordinator
workshops@paddlefest.bc.ca
If
we have this information in advance we can advertise your
demo boats on the event website.
Waterfront
safety support will be provided by the Paddlefest
Society.
Booth
Space Lease Costs:
Section
B – Waterfront - $445 plus provision of 2 demo
boats and safety gear for workshops
If
required, please add $10 for Electricity
Sections
A and C - Retail Booth Space - $245
If
required, please add $10 for Electricity
Food
Vendors - $125
If
required, please add $10 for Electricity
Electricity
There
are a limited number of vendor booths that have access to
electricity. There will be an additional charge of $10 for
this service. Vendors must provide own cord (at least 200
feet of heavy duty cable).
Camping
Facilities
Free
camping space for up to 4 persons per registered vendor is
available at Transfer Beach.(Note: no dogs allowed
within designated park limits)
Security
Night
security will be provided for the booths.

volunteers and members of the Paddlefest
